A nakosnik was a traditional hair ornament worn alongside crowns or ceremonial headpieces, often attached to the end of a girl’s braid. Historical sources trace it from the 13th to the 17th century, widely found across cultures from the Volga region to Central Asia, a symbol of beauty, status, and feminine rite.

This piece is a contemporary interpretation of the nakosnik tradition. Hand-crafted in brass and adorned with red zircon and labradorite gemstones, it blends historical inspiration with artisan detail. As each piece is made by hand, slight variations in shape and color are normal, adding uniqueness to every ornament.
